Chelsey June
Stories lived. Songs earned. A life turned into music.
Few artists possess the rare ability to make a concert hall feel like a living room and a living room feel like a concert hall. Chelsey June has spent more than a decade doing exactly that.
Widely regarded as one of Canadian folk music’s most compelling voices, Chelsey has built a remarkable career through fearless songwriting, captivating performances, and a rare gift for turning lived experience into songs that resonate deeply with audiences.
With more than 3,000 performances across Canada, the United States, Australia, France, Greenland, and the Cayman Islands, Chelsey has spent a lifetime gathering stories, perspectives, and experiences that continue to shape her distinctive artistic voice.
As the former lead vocalist and co-founder of the internationally acclaimed duo Twin Flames, Chelsey helped build one of Canada’s most celebrated contemporary folk acts. Together, they earned more than 50 awards and nominations, including multiple Canadian Folk Music Awards, toured extensively internationally, and created music that reached audiences around the world. Their work also led to a commissioned song for UNESCO, further cementing their place within Canada’s cultural landscape.
Now, Chelsey June steps forward under her own name.
Her emerging solo work marks both a return and a reinvention: intimate, cinematic, emotionally fearless songwriting rooted in folk, Americana, country, and the darker edges of the singer-songwriter tradition.
This new chapter is not the beginning of Chelsey June’s career.
It is the unveiling of an artist who has already lived one.
